AMLA

One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way.
‒Frank Smith

The HIVE is event managed Modern Foreign Language Acquisition (AMLA) on 5th and 12th February 2014.

This two-day training course was aimed at primary school leaders, Key Stage 2 co-ordinators and primary school teachers with responsibility for languages

The AMLA method has been developed to provide primary schools with an invaluable resource for delivering a modern language at Key Stage 2 from September 2014, in time to fulfil primary schools’ statutory responsibility.

The project has been made possible with start-up funding from Croydon Local Authority and is the result of over a year’s work from a group of committed educationalists centred on St Andrew’s C of E High School & Sixth Form.
