Croydon Vision

In March 2014, The HIVE was delighted to have Croydon Vision at our venue for four days a week while their own hall was refurbished.

Croydon Vision held bowls, skittles, social groups, music and dance groups at our venue and provided lunch.

It has been fantastic to work closely with another charity. The Croydon Voluntary Association for the Blind (CVAB) is a registered charity, formed in 1923 to provide social amenities for all the visually impaired people in the Borough. The purpose still remains but because of people's changing needs, is extended to include rehabilitative services.

In July 2014, together with Croydon Vision,  The Hive-Croydon hosted The Carroll Singers

“Music for a Summer’s Evening”, directed by Norma Carroll, included show and musical tunes sung by the Chamber Choir of past pupils from Coloma Girl’s School.
