{"id":668,"date":"2022-02-11T10:51:20","date_gmt":"2022-02-11T10:51:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thehive-croydon.org\/?page_id=668"},"modified":"2022-02-11T10:51:20","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T10:51:20","slug":"family-learning","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.thehive-croydon.org\/index.php\/family-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"Family Learning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We were delighted to work in partnership with CALAT to deliver our first Family Learning Programme for parents and children at Howard Primary School  this term.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CALAT courses are run in partnership with schools, libraries, children\u2019s centres and family and community centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CALAT Family Learning leads the way in working with parents and carers through our Skills for Life programmes. These programmes are part of a government strategy created to improve the literacy, language and numeracy skills of all adults in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are taught by specialist tutors and are free for eligible parents and their families. Many courses offer the chance to work towards an exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CALAT Family Learning also offers a popular and successful programme of short family courses, where mums, dads, grandparents and carers can enjoy learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Children also received their first Children&#8217;s University Passport to Learning and credits to work towards their first Bronze
